Wonjae Lee
TENNIS PROFESSIONAL
Wonjae Lee is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Washburn University. He received his MFA in 3D Design and Sculpture at the University of Iowa and is interested in innovative and cross-disciplinary studies and collaborations with the community. During summer 2020, Wonjae helped 3D printing the face shield for the KU medical center and ear saver for Washburn University.
Before Wonjae moved to Lawrence, KS, in 2017, he and his wife, Sooah Cho, were highly engaged with the Iowa City tennis community. After moving to Lawrence, his daughter, Elena, played in a junior varsity tennis team at the Free State High School, and his son, Samuel, played soccer and tennis.
In Fall 2020, Wonjae organized a Korean Tennis Club with members of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Lawrence. He enjoys creating community-driven tennis events in Lawrence.
