Our Senior Tennis Program offers the opportunity to join a community of fellow active seniors no matter what your experience level is!
The senior class is targeted for adults 50+. It offers a court for beginners, who have never played tennis and courts to players at a senior intermediate level. We encourage you to try tennis – if you‘ve always wanted to play the sport. If you haven’t played since high schools, this is the group of players and coaches for you. You’ll find yourself back in the swing of things in this senior class drill.
At the Jayhawk Tennis Center, we have a senior class drill every Friday morning, 11am-Noon, year-round and always inside. The drill sessions are usually 4-6 weeks long. There’s a place for every level in this drill, led by Coach Ann Anderson.
The senior class enjoys a weekly email of tennis tips from Coach Ann, a yearly tailgate party in the Jayhawk Tennis Center parking lot, at the end of the KU tennis season, several fun tournaments, and gatherings. You will also receive a newsletter from the Jayhawk Tennis Center and attend the KU tennis home matches for free!
This is a great way to meet new friends and find some players for doubles.
If you have any questions, please call us at 785-749-3200 and we will be happy to help you!
