Jared Ward

Jared Ward, a USPTA Elite Professional, comes to Jayhawk Tennis Center after working as Director of Ozark Tennis Academy for ten years. He attended Bethel College, where he was voted KCAC Conference MVP all four years while attaining national NAIA rankings of No. 50 in singles and No. 25 in doubles, leading to his 2014 induction into the Bethel Athletic Hall of Fame.

Since arriving at Jayhawk Tennis Center, Jared has helped with the development of the High Performance Program. Originally an afterschool/summer program, it has expanded into a full-time academy with players from Lawrence joined by others from around the Missouri Valley who drop in for extended training sessions as well. Additionally, drawing on his experiences at Team USA camps, he created an Invitational Camp series. These gather many of the top players from the Missouri Valley, as well as others from around the country. Through these programs, Jayhawk Tennis Center has seen major growth in the top players, climbing not only the Valley rankings, but also competing at the highest levels in the country.
Ward and his wife, Christy, have two children, Micah and Eliya.
