Jared Ward


Jared Ward, a USPTA Elite Professional, comes to Jayhawk Tennis Center after working as Director of Ozark Tennis Academy for ten years.  He attended Bethel College, where he was voted KCAC Conference MVP all four years while attaining national NAIA rankings of No. 50 in singles and No. 25 in doubles, leading to his 2014 induction into the Bethel Athletic Hall of Fame.

Jared was named the USPTA Arkansas Pro of the Year in 2005, Arkansas Junior Davis Cup coach from 2007-11 and 2013-15, and received the Victor Sheshunoff Meritorious Education Award in 2012.  He served on the Southern Section Coaches Commission from 2013-16, and in 2015 was both a Team USA Sectional Camp coach and Southern Zonals coach. He reprised those roles for the Missouri Valley, coaching a Team USA camp in 2016, and Zonals in 2017 and 2019.  In 2016 he completed the USTA High Performance Coaching Program.

Ward and his wife, Christy, have two children, Micah and Eliya.
