Ryan Hickman, Tennis Professional

Ryan Hickman grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas.  He attended Hutchinson High School, where as a Salthawk, he was highly decorated as a student-athlete.  Ryan played #1 singles and #1 doubles all four years, earning a medal in the Kansas State Championship each of those seasons, including a team championship his sophomore year.   Ryan left as the Salthawks with the most wins of all-time for the program.

After high school, Ryan attended Coe College where he received a business degree and also competed on the men’s tennis team. Ryan was a 4 year starter and was all-conference in singles his freshmen year and all-conference in both singles and doubles his last three years. During his time at Coe, the team won 4 conference titles and advanced as far as the Round of 16 in the NCAA Division 3 tournament.

After college, Ryan was the assistant tennis pro at Prairie Dunes Country Club, and was the Hutchinson High School tennis coach for one year. Ryan earned his USPTA certification in 2017.
